Rumsey Monument and Cullison Park
At the end of Mill Street
Erected in 1915 this granite columnar monument to James Rumsey overlooks the spot where he
demonstrated the first working model of the steamboat, in 1787, a full 20 years before Robert Fulton. A working replica of this boat is in the Rumsey Steamboat Museum behind the Entler Hotel.
